How Is FERO Different From Other Delivery Platforms?

FERO is built specifically for construction, equipment, materials and jobsite freight, not people, groceries or retail. The Shippers are most often contractors and equipment rental companies, not consumers. Loads are bigger and the pay is better. In the industry, this type of work is often also called hotshot hauling, FERO is built specifically for business delivery, not general consumer delivery.

How Do I Find Loads on FERO?

Create your Hauler profile and set your service area and equipment type. Once your application is approved, you'll be notified only for the loads that match your setup. Accept what works for you, pass on what does not. FERO routes the right loads to the right rigs automatically — no scrolling through irrelevant freight.

How Much Can I Earn With FERO?

Earnings depend on your vehicle and the loads you accept. Most active Haulers earn $75–$150 per hour on FERO loads. Pickup truck loads typically pay $75–$200 per haul. Trailer loads and heavy equipment hauls pay higher, often $200–$500+ per haul depending on distance and vehicle type. You see firm pricing upfront on every load before you accept.

Is There a Cost to Join FERO as a Hauler?

No sign-up fee. Download the FERO Driver App from your app store for current details on how FERO works for Haulers.

    What Equipment Types Are Accepted?

Pickup trucks (6–8 ft beds), pickups with utility trailers (12–20 ft) and deck over trailers (16–24 ft), flatbeds (8–22 ft) and cargo vans are all welcome. Vehicles must be under 26,000 lbs GVWR. Enter your specific equipment details in your profile and FERO will match you with loads you can actually handle.

    What Are the Vehicle Requirements?

Your vehicle must be 20 years old or newer, owned by you and in good working condition. Accepted vehicle types include pickup trucks, cargo vans, parcel vans and pickups with trailers, all under 26,000 lbs GVWR. You must carry active personal auto or commercial liability insurance that meets FERO's minimum coverage requirements before you can go live on the platform.

    How Does Load Matching Work?

Once you're approved, you set your service area, vehicle type and availability in the FERO Driver App. FERO routes notifications only for loads that match your vehicle's capacity and your service area. When a load comes in, you see pickup, drop-off, distance, vehicle requirements and the firm price upfront. Accept what fits your schedule and rig, pass on what doesn't. You're never penalized for declining loads.

    What Insurance Do I Need?

You must maintain active personal auto or commercial liability insurance that meets FERO's minimum coverage requirements throughout the time you're hauling on the platform. Specific minimum amounts and any cargo coverage requirements are provided during the onboarding process. FERO also carries supplemental commercial auto liability and cargo coverage on top of every haul.

How Quickly Do I Get Paid?

FERO processes payments weekly by direct deposit. You receive payment upon confirmed delivery, not 30+ days later.

Do I Have to Accept Every Load?

No. FERO is built for Haulers who work on their own terms. You choose the available loads you want, accept what fits your schedule and pass on anything that doesn't.

What Markets Have the Most Loads?

Phoenix, Dallas and Houston currently have the highest load volume. Southern California and Florida are growing fast. Sign up and set your area to see what loads are available near you.

    Do I Need a CDL?

For most FERO Haulers, no. Pickup trucks, cargo vans and equipment trailer combinations under 26,000 lbs GVWR typically don't require a CDL. If you're running heavier combinations or certain vehicle configurations over 26,000 lbs GVWR, a CDL is required. Either way, set your license class in your profile and FERO handles the matching. You'll only see loads you're qualified to run.

What If I Have an Issue With a Load or Shipper?

Contact FERO support directly through the App or at info at feronow.com. We're here to back you up.

    How Long Does Approval Take?

Most Haulers are approved and active within 8 business days (or less) of submitting a complete application with all required documentation.

Is FERO Hiring Hotshot Drivers With Pickup Trucks?

Yes. FERO connects independent pickup truck owners with on-demand hauling jobs for construction equipment and materials. No CDL required. Apply at feronow.com/haulers/apply.

What Hotshot Trucking Opportunities Does FERO Offer?

FERO offers on-demand loads matched to your location and vehicle type. Pickup truck drivers earn $75–$150/hr on average with flexible scheduling and no contract.

Does FERO Need Hotshot Drivers Right Now?

Yes. FERO is actively onboarding vetted Haulers in all markets. Same-day load matching means you can start earning immediately after approval.
